How to See Your Contacts on a Map on iPhone

The Contacts app can’t show all your contacts on one map. You can open one contact’s address in Maps by tapping it, or search for a contact’s name in Maps. To see everyone you know on a single map, with directions in one tap, use a contacts app with a map, such as Starrise Contacts.

Updated October 2026

Open one contact’s address in Maps

  1. Make sure the address is saved on the contact: open it, tap Edit and add the address.
  2. In the contact, tap the address. It opens in the Maps app.
  3. Tap the directions button to get a route.

You can also type a contact’s name into the search field in Maps. If the contact has an address, it shows up in the results.

Limits

  • You only see one person at a time.
  • There is no built-in way to see who lives near you or near a place you are visiting.

The easier way with Starrise Contacts

Starrise Contacts shows your contacts’ addresses on an interactive map, free. See who lives nearby, or open your preferred maps app for directions with one tap. More on the address book app.

  • Everyone with an address on one map.
  • Sort your contacts by city.
  • The location where you created a contact is saved too, so you remember where you met.

Tips

  • Before a trip, check who lives in the area and send a message.
  • Fill in missing addresses when you send holiday cards.
