Your contacts themselves sync the way they always have, through iCloud Contacts, Google, Exchange or whichever account they live in. Starrise Contacts works on top of that address book and syncs everything it adds: notes, gift ideas, reminders and more.
In the private iCloud database of your own Apple Account. We don’t run servers that store your notes or contacts, and we can’t see what you sync.
Yes. iCloud Sync is part of Starrise Contacts Pro ($0.99 per month or $5.99 per year) and turns on automatically when you subscribe. You can switch it off anytime in Settings; everything stays on your device.
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 18 or later, and Mac with macOS 14 Sonoma or later, signed in to the same Apple Account.
Contact IDs differ from device to device, so Starrise matches people by their phone number, email, or name and birthday. A safeguard keeps two different people apart, even when they share a family phone number or email.
Attachments larger than 50 MB stay on the device you added them on, so a few videos can’t fill your iCloud storage. You can change the limit in Settings → iCloud Sync to 10, 25, 50, 100 or 250 MB.
Settings → iCloud Sync tells you when changes couldn’t be uploaded, for example because iCloud storage is full. Nothing is lost: your data stays on the device and syncs once there’s room again.
Yes. Tap Sync Now in Settings → iCloud Sync. On the Mac, use Settings → iCloud or View → Sync Now (⇧⌘R). Pulling to refresh on the Notes tab does the same.
