Good to know

  • Contacts in iCloud are already backed up, and iCloud.com can restore earlier versions under Data Recovery.
  • Leave out the Notes field when you export for someone else.

The easier way with Starrise Contacts

Starrise Contacts doesn’t lock anything away: it works directly on your iCloud, Google and Exchange contacts, so whatever you export from Contacts is your complete address book. Your notes, gift ideas and to-dos stay in step across your devices with iCloud Sync (Pro), through your own iCloud account. See iCloud Sync for contacts.

With Pro, a deleted contact can also be brought back from the Trash, with its notes, gift ideas, to-dos and files.
