Cardhop in brief
Cardhop is a contacts app by Flexibits, the makers of Fantastical, that works directly on your existing contacts. Business card scanning is part of Flexibits Premium, which costs $6.99 per month or $56.99 per year, is shared with Fantastical and comes with a Flexibits account.
Covve in brief

The trade-off
Cardhop saves scanned cards to your own address book, but scanning needs Premium and a Flexibits account, and it has no reminders to follow up. Covve reminds you to follow up, but your contacts live in its own app, behind a Covve sign-in.
The option that does both
Starrise Contacts scans business cards straight into your iPhone address book and reminds you to follow up, with no account. Both are part of Pro, which costs $0.99 per month or $5.99 per year. More on the business card scanner.
